Rochester, New York, has removed a red-light camera program. The program aims to improve traffic safety by deterring red-light violations and reducing the number of accidents at intersections. Up to 50 intersections in Rochester, New York have been turned off.Under the program, cameras were installed at selected intersections throughout the city.
