Mayor Shawn Brown of St. Peters (St. Louis, MO) indicted after threatening to veto the ordinance authorizing installation of the camera system unless he got a payment from Redflex. The federal indictment made public last Friday said Brown solicited and accepted a $2,750 payment from Redflex Traffic Systems Inc., which in June won the contract to install red-light cameras in the city.
