I'm no mathemetician, but I don't think you can extrapolate that an individual has a 10% chance of getting caught at a light. For one thing, as another commenter indicated, there aren't 991,830 registered cars on the road, nor are there 991,830 licensed drivers. Beyond that, there are those that don't drive in the areas covered by the lights, those that drive following the laws to the letter, and so on. In addition, of the tickets issued, some would be multiple tickets issued to one driver.

I have received TWO 51's in a 40mph THIS MONTH on this so-called "SE/Frwy 9th street entrance"!
...And i think my THIRD, a couple months, ago was also 51/40 on this same road?
(i have 7 all together in the past year)

Hayward, California so far observed at Winton and Hesperian 3 second yellow on straight away and 2 second yellow on turns.Activated flash on October 3/4 through iintersection ented on YELLOW.Waiting to see if I will rec. a citation. On 11-13 parked and observed camera pattern many many vechiles were 1/4 in to 3/4 through intersection when red light came on . Sunny so no flash on camera. Will contact HPD and City of Hayward

There is only one major manufacturer of mobile phones and navigation products in the U.S. and that is Nokia / Navteq. Its not hard to figure out if you read the 10Q and know the industry.

I just received a collection letter in the mail for a red light citation my wife received almost a year ago to the date. I was never once contacted about the $100 ticket which is now $200 according to the City of Chicago because of late fees. The registered vehicle is on "seizure notice". According to Chicago, they contacted Budget Rent a Car on Nov 24 2008 and Dec 23 2008, but Budget claims they weren't contacted until Sept 09... They wanted to hold me responsible for the $225 ($25 admin fee tacked on of course), but I laughed at them. Not only did they ring up late fees because they're chain of contact broke down, but they also cost me any ability to contest the ticket. I had them contact chicago and request the photo and ticket information as "proof", but I'm still debating just not paying this. I live in a completely different state, and if that means never renting from Budget again, so be it.

I was a visitor to DC for 4 days contributing about $1500 to the area's economy. And yet I receive from my rental company a $30 processing fee and a citation that is due to arrive shortly. What kind of lame-brain process is this?
We voted down mobile camera citing in Hawaii. If there is another vehicle in the image, Ill contest. I'll let you know.

I received a ticket notice from my rental car company charging me an admin fee and saying DC police would be issuing a direct citation via mail. What kind of due process is this? I was visiting from Houston and can't remember a time I got over 30 mph driving around anywhere in that city. What a ripoff!!!

I would like to protest this so-called 40 mph speed limit on the SE/SW highway. Really, how would one know its 40 mph on a 3 lane highway!! And I like how they now have signs stating this but no cautious that its photo enforced. Supposely I was going 51 mph, I remember that day and I was not in any rush or trying to speed. This is just a very insane speed limit for a 3 lane highway and there is no option on it to protest on this ticket either!

Not sure if I will receive a ticket in the mail. I was turning right, I noticed the photo enforced sign but no turn on red was posted. I stopped and waited contemplating whether or not I could go and also waited for cars that were making a left from the intersection pass me by. Since I did not see the no turn on red I turned but now I am worried I will receive a ticket. I noticed that the west bound side did show the no turn on red along with the Photo Enforced sign but the North bound side which was the direction I was going did not. Do you think I will receive a ticket in the mail?

I just got a ticket. I was in the far right turn lane. I stopped at the red light while the only 2 cars on the road made their left turn and didn't make a U-Turn..and proceded to make the right turn. There is no sign at this intersection saying you can't make a right turn. It even says in the CA DMV handbook that this move is legal.

So is this ticket legal when I made a legal ticket? What's the best way to fight this?
